47-Point Effort Helps Lakers Deflate Windham
WINDHAM, OH – The Pymatuning Valley girls basketball team (9-4, 6-0) made a New Year’s statement knocking off Windham on the road Thursday night, 78-46. Thanks in big part to senior guard Ashley Hall who highlighted the evening with a school-record 47 point performance.
Hall came into the game averaging 14 points, two assists and five rebounds per game – sank 18 shots, going 4-of-5 from the free-throw line – as she broke Laker’s Athletics Director Melody Nowakowski’s previous record of 45 points.
On the court with Hall as history went down: Morgan Sharpe (8 points); Morgan McClure (8 points); Kari Clute (5 points); Ellie Struna (3 points); Kendall Baker (4 points); Caelan Fisher (4 points); and Kali Siembor (3 points).
PV has now won five of their last six games, following a 46-39 loss at Champion on December 29th. They’ll be at Bristol on Monday (1/7).
