ELYRIA – Open Door Christian evened out it’s volleyball record to 3-3 on the season, knocking off Oberlin (0-3) on Tuesday (25-15, 26-24, 25-19).
Seniors Maddie Stintsman and Hannah Otero led the Patriots attack. Stintsman pelted the Phoenix with 14 kills, 5 service aces, 12 digs and one block. Otero kept it going and set her team up with 23 digs and two aces.

Oberlin will vie for its first win of the season on the road at Black River, on Thursday (9/3). The Pirates (3-1, 0-1) suffered their first loss at Brookside last night (Tuesday, 9/1) by a final of 25-18, 25-21, 25-18.
Open Door will be on the road for its next match, not until Tuesday (9/8), at Andrews Osborne Academy in Willoughby (Lake County).
