BELLEVUE – Fourth-ranked Norwalk advanced to the D-III state semifinals with a 20-17 victory over #6 Sandusky on Friday.
Truckers junior defensive back Jake Sommers sealed the win intercepting a Shonsai Aaron pass at the Norwalk 35, with 1:13 left in the game – effectively ending the Blue Streaks final offensive drive at First National Bank Field at Bellevue Athletic Facility
Now 10-3 on the season, Norwalk advances to the state semi’s for the first time since 1974 They’ll take on top-seeded Kettering Archbishop Alter (12-1) who knocked off Wapakoneta, 21-7 at Piqua.
