DeWitt digs deep to hold off Keystone
HENRIETTA TOWNSHIP – Nobody digs a win more than Firelands senior Kristin DeWitt. Especially on her birthday! The Falcons captain had 21 digs en route to her team’s three set sweep over Lorain County League foe Keystone (26-24, 25-22, 25-18) on Thursday.

Firelands (2-0, 1-0 LCL) is yet to drop a set on the young season after a similar shutout win against Open Door on Saturday.
Sophomore outside hitter Lexi Mack sparked the Falcons with 11 kills and 8 digs against the Wildcats. Senor Logan Angney recorded nine kills from the outside before being knocked out in the third set to an ankle injury.
Firelands coach Jordan Kolarik turned to freshman setter Grace Tansey who turned in the teams only double-double of the night (12 assists and 10 digs).
UP NEXT: Firelands visits Brookside on Thursday, 9/3 (6:30). Keystone drops to 0-2 (0-1 LCL) ahead of a Thursday matchup at Wellington (6:30).
