GENEVA – Timely hits and aggressive baserunning led Geneva to an 8-5 win at home over West Geauga on Wednesday.

The Eagles staked starting pitcher Hewitt Wilt to a 4-0 second-inning lead, before the Wolverines responded with three runs of their own atop the third inning. The game would be tied up before Geneva hustled its way to a three-run fifth inning to cap the scoring.
