ADA, OH – Call it a battle of East vs West in the Northwest Conference. Crestview (12-3, 5-1) showcased why it is the second-ranked team in the league, thwarting host Ada (4-12), 81-54, on Friday. Coach Doug Etzler was able to empty his bench, resting most of the starters after the Knights ran out to a 45-24 halftime lead.

Crestview finished with four players scoring in double figures. Junior guard Gavin Etzler led the way with 17, including five three pointers. Senior guard Rontae Jackson dropped in a team-high seven field goals for 16 points. Junior Mitch Temple scored 12 of his 14 points in the first half. Senior power forward Nasir Easterling chipped in an even 10 points, despite playing thru foul trouble.

The Bulldogs were led by senior forward Cayden Murphy with a game-high 19 point effort (including 7-of-8 at the FT line). Junior guard Spencer Wall spread out 13 points, while Carter Conley dropped in nine of his 11 points on three-pointers.

Crestview will be playing the second of back-to-back road games on Saturday at 8-4 Hicksville, in a non-conference matchup set for 7:30 p.m. Ada will also be back in action with no time to rest, making the bus ride to non-conference foe Ottoville (9-7, 3-0 Putnam County League) at 7 p.m..
